New Year’s Eve Day/Night Recap

The last day of 2012 was spent just the way it should have been! Granted I wasn’t jumping off a cliff in Fiji or drinking a beer in Ireland but that’s ok, those things will happen soon enough. Yes, that was a small taste of what is on my Bucket List.

Before Fiji or Ireland, it was time to celebrate New Year’s Eve. First up on the agenda was a couple of hours of work! Don’t worry, I got to work, from home, in my comfy pants!!!

One laptop to work and one laptop there for aesthetic value (aka, mental breaks full of brain pudding)

Once work was complete, it was time to get in the last run of 2012!! There is a great park near the military base and since it was such a beautiful day, it only seemed right to go for a run there.

Did I mention the sun was shining and it was 70 degrees out?!?!!? Florida isn’t all that bad of a place to live ;)

Can you beat this?!?!

Can you beat this?!?!

Although I misjudged my running attire. I don’t think a long sleeve shirt was the right move! Oops! Stupid move means stupid face making picture.

Yep, wasn't really thinking on this one

From there it was off to the liquor store for a very important purchase…give ya one guess?!?! Due to lack of time, I wasn’t able to go to the liquor store where you can buy a handle of Mount Gay for like $21 AND get a free 2 liter of Coke. Instead I spent almost $30 for the bottle and there wasn’t Coke included for free.

New Years day rum

With rum in hand, it was time to get all pretty and ready to ring in the New Year! I put the camera away and enjoyed the night!! Nothing better than sitting around a fire pit, laughing, joking and spending time with friends :)

When midnight arrived, we popped some more champagne and toasted in 2013!

I hope you all had a great New Years as well!!!

About Amy Christine

I’ll try anything once, even more so if a helmet is required. So far that mentality has led me to some pretty awesome adventures and experiences I will never forget. I may not be the best at everything but I have a blast doing it. I believe in just going with the moment…you never know where it will take you. That is perhaps my favorite view on life. Wake boarding, motorcycles, sailing, mountain biking, cooking or whatever else I can get my hands on, there are so many things in life to experience, this blog is me sharing my adventures with you! See my Places section for some of the highlights.

  1. Vicarious! It rhymes with “old guy”. I am so glad you’re still having fun, even if it costs you a few extra bucks. Old guy rhymes with techno-doofus. Yesterday I managed to turn off my keyboard. My fun was figuring out how, and how to get it restarted.
